Logistics Center – Flexible Employment and Legal Compliance

Logistics Center – Flexible Employment and Legal Compliance

Labor law in Poland strictly regulates holidays and time off, which makes proper scheduling and compliance with the Labor Code essential for logistics companies. In 2025, the number of public holidays and days off for full-time employees will total 116.

Understanding the holiday and weekend calendar helps avoid scheduling errors and ensures transparent working conditions and appropriate compensation for work during days off.

Problem

The biggest challenge for employers in the logistics sector is to ensure continuous operations while complying with work time and rest regulations. According to Article 151 of the Labor Code, time off should be the primary form of compensation for work on holidays. If time off cannot be granted, additional payment is required.

Many employees come from outside Poland and are not familiar with local holiday and overtime regulations. This leads to misunderstandings, payroll errors, and dissatisfaction among staff.

Solution

In cooperation with our agency, the company implemented:

  • a flexible shift system that accounts for public holidays,

  • precise schedule planning using an HR calendar,

  • employee education on Polish labor regulations,

  • automatic calculation of bonuses for work on Sundays and holidays,

  • full support from a dedicated coordinator.

As a result, the company avoided payroll errors, improved employee satisfaction, and ensured full compliance with labor laws.
